Do I need my own instrument?

Although you can hire an instrument at first, it is much better to have your own. If you are having piano lessons, a keyboard will suffice for you to practice on at home whilst you are considering a proper instrument. Your tutor will advise you on what to look for.

If you are a singer, you must ensure that you have a piano at home if you would like lessons at your own house. If you are unable to have a piano or full size keyboard at home, vocal lessons must be at the home of the singing tutor.

How often should I have lessons?

Weekly lessons will ensure that you stay on track with your studies. For younger children, a half hour will be enough, for teenagers and adults an hour is preferable.

Can I have lessons monthly, or fortnightly?

As this creates an empty slot for the tutor to try and fill on the weeks you are not attending, we do not accept this as a scheduling option.

What if I need to cancel lessons?

Do I need any experience?

No! We will accept total beginners and guide you through the process of beginning to learn an instrument.
