Dear Student and/or Parent

1) Once a written or verbal agreement to a lesson time is made, it will be booked into the My Music Staff calendar and you will be sent a link to your account login. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of your lesson dates and times. You will automatically be given text and email reminders but you can opt out of these by logging in and unchecking the relevant box.

2) Arun District Music tutors do not automatically observe bank holidays that fall within term time and you will still find your lesson scheduled on the calendar. Please ensure you cancel your lesson with at least 24 hours notice, or the lesson will still be charged.

3) School holidays are not observed as non-teaching weeks by Arun District Music Lessons. If you wish to cancel a lesson due to a school break, more than 24 hours notice must be given.

4) There is a minimum cancellation period, for any lesson, of 24 hours. If you cancel after this time, you will still be charged for the lesson. Tutors will endeavor to rearrange your lesson at their discretion, although this may not be possible.

5) Please remember that there is a period of 2 weeks notice if you wish to cancel lessons permanently. The lessons during this notice period will be fully chargeable, whether they are attended or cancelled.

6) Lateness to lessons by the student will be accommodated where possible, but if your lesson precedes another, it will finish at the arranged time to prevent the next student's lesson running late. No discount will be offered.

7) Lateness by a tutor will be honored, and they will stay to give you the full amount of time booked.

8) You will receive monthly invoices to state the balance of your account. Payments can be made in advance if you wish via your student portal, the deadline for payments for any invoice is 30 days. Payment may be made in cash if you prefer.

9) By booking lessons, you agree to adhere to these policies in writing. If you are unable to make payment, please contact us and we will arrange a payment plan with you. Failure to respect the policies of our studio will result in termination of your place within Arun District Music School and recovery of outstanding fees owed by the Incorporated Society of Musicians, Equity, and The Musicians Union.
